The development of todays more advanced therapeutical drugs often involve the use of complexes, conjugates, encapsulation or associating the API via different other components of the product. Examples are ADCs, or the use of different drug carriers (such as liposomes, solid-lipid nanoparticles, and PLGA) used in nanomedicine. To properly understand such complex compounds and their interactions it may be critical to characterize them, both in formulations but also in body fluids such as serum and plasma. It may however be a challenging task to investigate these more complex products and may require an assortment of different techniques.
