What services does SOLVE Research offer?
SOLVE offers size and molar mass determination of peptides, proteins, antibodies, and other biopolymers in solution, in a therapeutic drug or in a drug formulation. Additionally, it provides the detection of aggregates during the early and later stages of product development.
SOLVE can assist you with testing the stability of your sample in terms of aggregation, degradation, as well as the stability of your components in terms of structure and activity in the matrix of interest.
SOLVE gives you the possibility of detecting undesired interactions or physical changes in drug formulations that can affect efficacy. We can characterize your formulation in solution and easily expose it to a matrix of interest, such as serum and plasma, and track interactions as well as physical changes. This is done using the technique known as asymmetric flow field-flow fractionation (AF4). This can help you to foresee possible challenges in later stages.
If you have an AF4 in-house, SOLVE’s experts can also help you with AF4 method development.
You can read more about the services that we offer under our service page.
What techniques does SOLVE Research use?
SOLVE can assist you with dynamic light scattering (DLS) during the early stages for screening and aggregation analysis. More quantitative data can be obtained by using size exclusion chromatography (SEC). SEC analysis is often validated thorough the use of orthogonal techniques such as asymmetric flow filed-flow fractionation (AF4). Our SEC and AF4 system are connected to detectors such as fluorescent (FL), ultraviolet -visible (UV-Vis), differential refractive index (dRI), and multiangle light scattering (MALS).
Depending on the project we can offer you additional techniques through cooperating with partnering companies such as microscopy, laser diffraction, rheology, immunoassays and mass spectrometry.
More information about the techniques that we offer can be found under the techniques page.
Can SOLVE Research handle samples of viruses and vaccines?
Yes, SOLVE can help with the analysis of virus and vaccines samples. Asymmetrical flow field-flow fractionation (AF4) is a powerful technique for the analysis of virus-sized particles. When AF4 is connected to MALS and dRI detectors it enables the determination of size, size distribution, degradation, and aggregation in your sample. It is the perfect technique to assess the presence of viral aggregates which can negatively affect efficiency, biodistribution, and immunogenicity. AF4 can also be used as a semi-preparative technique.
How does SOLVE Research ensure the confidentiality and security of my data?
SOLVE’s employees follow our company policy and the employee code of conduct. Our company Data Protection Policy refers to our commitment to treat information of employees, customers, partners and other interested parties with the utmost care and confidentiality. SOLVE gives access privileges to authorized personnel only. We secure computers and servers with login credentials, passwords, and multi-factor authentication.
What industries does SOLVE Research typically work with?
Most of our clients come from the pharmaceutical industry, where we support both short- and long-term projects, routine analyses, and research initiatives.
We also collaborate with companies in the food industry, providing assistance with research, product development, and consultancy services, focusing on the characterization and understanding of the behavior of both traditional and modern ingredients.
Our clientele spans the globe, including companies of all sizes. We analyze a diverse range of samples, from small peptides to large polymers, in various solutions and complex matrices.
How can I request a quote or discuss my project with an expert?
You can send us a request using the contact form or send us an email at request@solveresearch.com. We will answer as soon as possible and put you in contact with one of SOLVE’s experts.
What is the typical turnaround time for analysis results?
For advanced techniques such as SEC and AF4, we typically start a project within 1 week of receiving the samples or quote acceptance. We deliver a report within 2 weeks of the project start date, though the time may vary depending on the number of samples and the project’s complexity.
For screening analysis such as DLS, we usually begin a project within a couple of days after receiving the samples or quote acceptance. We provide a report within 1 week of the project start date, though the time may vary depending on the number of samples and the project’s complexity.
Throughout the project, SOLVE’s experts maintain close communication with the customer. You can read more about our workflow in the workflow section of our webpage.
